What is SpamDistiller™?

SpamDistiller™ is a program which automatically filters all incoming e-mail directly on your mail server so that you never have to download large quantities of spam and/or virus infected e-mail.

SpamDistiller™ for Linux/UNIX is compatible with sendmail, qmail, exim, postfix and any other Linux/UNIX mail server.

Fact: SpamDistiller™ can have a 85-95% spam and virus find rate with 0 false positives.

We developed SpamDistiller™ as a by-product of a new product we are currently developing which automatically answers incoming e-mail in a number of foreign languages. We found that spam and viruses were the first problem we had to deal with. Since no product on the market offered zero false positives we went about building our own spam and virus removal engine.

SpamDistiller™ is compatible with sendmail, qmail, exim, postfix and any other Linux/UNIX mail server software. We monitor all the latest and greatest spamming tricks and have around 20,000 anti-spam and anti-virus rules. We use our very own software to protect our company and the most annoying fact about all known anti-spam software is that it not only eliminates spam but also eliminates useful messages.

The biggest advantage our software brings to the table as compared to other similar products is that we have a way of guaranteeing that you get no (zero) false positives. Some, but very little, spam and close to no viruses does get through but it is a very small percentage. We update our rule set up to 1000 times a day (we can do more updates as new rules come up) within a 24 hour human monitoring shift. As soon as even one single anti-spam or anti-virus rule is found it is immediately sent to all SpamDistiller™ installations around the world. Sometimes due to the new tricks that spammers come up with the application itself (engine) must be also renewed which is also done automatically.

The other advantage of SpamDistiller™ comes from its core. It is written in C/C++ language, and uses the fastest and most effective non-parallel algorithm in the world which runs in O(N log(2)N) time, where N is related to the size of the e-mail and the total number of rules. That makes SpamDistiller™ extremely fast - even one day when it will have more than a 100 million anti-spam rules!

All currently known spam tricks are dealt with. Any new trick is solved usually within 1-2 hours of it being detected. SpamDistiller™ also has a way of automatically learning new spammer tricks in cases where it is 100% sure that it is dealing with spam or virus related e-mail only.
